Where the water starts, and why cleaning the gutter is not enough
Gutter and downspout cleaning, roof debris removal, soft washing and brightening. We flush the downspout through to the drain, not just the trough.

REAL CLEARFLOW JOBS
roof & gutters jobs, before and after
Shot from a fixed position so the only thing that changes is the work. Most contractors keep only the after, which is the half that proves nothing.

A catch basin packed solid with oak leaf litter and silt, and the same basin draining freely after jetting. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
Don't Wait for the Next Storm.
Clearing the water path on a schedule costs a fraction of excavating a collapsed line, and it happens in dry weather. The failure calls all arrive in the same week of the same storm — which is the week everyone else is calling too.

COMMON QUESTIONS
roof & gutters questions
Why do my gutters still overflow after they were cleaned?
Because the blockage is usually below the trough. Downspouts and their underground connections hold debris a gutter scoop never reaches. Clearing the gutter and leaving the downspout packed moves the restriction, it does not remove it.
How often do gutters need cleaning under an oak canopy?
Two to four times a year in most of Tallahassee. Live oaks shed in spring as well as fall, and the fine leaf litter mats down into a mulch that holds water against the fascia rather than washing through.
What causes the black streaks on an asphalt roof?
An algae called gloeocapsa magma, which feeds on the limestone filler in the shingle and holds moisture against the roof. It is a growth, not dirt, so it returns until it is actually killed rather than blasted off.
Is pressure washing safe on a roof?
No. Pressure strips the granules that protect the shingle and shortens the roof's life, and it drives water under the courses. Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to kill the growth instead, which is the method any shingle manufacturer will accept.
What is gutter brightening?
The chalky vertical staining on the outside face of a gutter is oxidation and road film, and normal washing does not touch it. Brightening uses a dedicated cleaner to pull that discoloration off the aluminum so the gutter matches the trim again.
