What is hydro jetting, and how is it different from snaking?
Snaking punches a hole through a blockage so water moves again. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the full pipe wall, removing the sediment and root film that caused the restriction. Snaking buys months; jetting restores the pipe to its original diameter.
How do you know what is wrong before you dig?
We run a camera through the line and record the depth, the material, the slope and the exact distance to any break, offset joint or root mass. Nothing gets excavated on a guess, and you keep the footage.
How often should a drainage system be cleaned in Tallahassee?
Under a live-oak canopy, once a year is realistic and twice is better. Leon County drops leaf litter for most of the year, and the red clay in the hills percolates poorly, so a partly restricted line has no margin when a summer storm arrives.
Can you fix a collapsed or broken drainage pipe?
Yes. We locate the failure with the camera, mark it above ground, and replace the affected section. Where the run is otherwise sound we repair the defect rather than replacing the whole line, which is usually the difference between a spot dig and a trench.
